The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, Village of Remsen met on July 13th, 2021, at 6:00 pm at the Village Hall on Pine Street..

Those present were: Deputy Mayor Susan Bartholomew, Trustees;  Kate Creighton,  Roger Wilson, and Noah Ives.  Also attending were: Attorney Jim Moseman,  Harlen Moonan, and Matt Cooper.

The minutes were read the balances were as follows: General Fund $43,135.26,Water Fund $69,651.51, Sewer Fund $158,843.32, General Truck $39,224.36, Emergency Services $127,597.08, ESCIF $190,472.86, WECIF $24,030.13, SECIF $64,137.56, Chips $21,287.52, SEPGF $0, Pedestrian Bridge $0, Disinfection Study $0, and a motion was made by Noah to approve them.  It was seconded by Kate.   All approved and carried.  The vote was 4-0.

Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Kate  to pay them.  It was seconded by Noah.  All approved and carried.  The vote was 4-0.

Harlen gave the NOCCOG update.  He told of both the NOCCOG dinner on October 28th, and the Tug Hill dinner on October 14th.

Matt Cooper went over updates on our projects. The Pedestrian Bridge project is set to start construction in August.  The pre-construction meeting will be held on Wednesday at 11:00.

The Waste Water Treatment Fund application is due by July 30th.    We need to start SEQR and get in contact with Bond Counsel.  Matt said it will cost $21.00 per year per household.

Noah made the resolution to approve the Engineering amendment subject to Jim Moseman’s approval.  It was seconded by Kate.  All approved and carried.  The vote was 4-0.

Noah made the resolution to approve the Noise Permit Application for 2 concerts to be held at the Remsen Depot.  The first is on July 27th, 2021, with the source of noise being wind instruments.  The second is on July 30, 2021, with the source of noise being music, guitars, and voices.  It was seconded by Roger.  All approved and carried.  The vote was 4-0.

The Clerk told that the ARPA payment of $50,460 will come half this year and half next year.

Correspondence from the Town Board requesting repairs to their road.   A letter was received from Slack Chemical telling of a price increase.  The PFAS recovery action was tabled until next month.

Kate made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:26pm.  It was seconded by Roger.  All approved and carried.
