January 12th, 2021
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, Village of Remsen met on January 12th, 2021, at 6:00 pm virtually.
Those present were: Mayor Martin Flint, Trustees; Susan Bartholomew, Kate Creighton, Noah Ives and Roger Wilson. Also attending was: Lisa Bellinger and Jim Moseman.
The minutes were read and a treasurer’s report was given. Balances were as follows: General Fund $33,225.26, Water Fund $81,060.64, Sewer Fund $154,255.37, General Truck $33,218.40, Emergency Services $100,354.45, ESCIF $160,441.88, WECIF $24,025.85, SECIF $57,877.18, Sewer Engineering Planning Grant Fund $9,096.83 and Chips $21,283.72.
Noah made the resolution to approve the December 8th, minutes. It was seconded by Susan. All approved and carried. The vote was 5-0.
Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Susan to pay them. It was seconded by Kate. All approved and carried. The vote was 5-0.
Lisa gave an update on NOCCOG meetings available this month. A listing is posted at the Village office.
The Clerk told of the Sales Tax check received. We received the first of three checks for the third quarter.
We received notification of a building permit issued to David Woolheater at 9516 Main Street for renovations.
We also received a letter from Slack Chemical to notify us of the driver shortage. They say to allow 2-4 days lead time with a minimum 4 hour delivery window.
Jim told of the Moonan property building permit.
A deposit was made into the Sewer Engineering Grant Fund for work done by Fred. The Board decided that he was already paid for this work through his monthly bills so the amount will go into the Sewer Fund.
The Mayor discussed a meeting he will have with Matt Cooper to see about closing out two of our three projects.
The Mayor read an update from Pete about work in the water fund.
The February meeting will also be held virtually.
Noah made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:45. It was seconded by Kate. All approved and carried.
