The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, Village of Remsen met on October 11th, 2004, at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall on Pine Street in the Village.

Those present were: Mayor Bob Cunningham, Trustees; Wendy Piekielniak, Stephen Allen, Lisa Beagle, and Peter Billard. Also attending were; Attorney Jim Moseman, Steve Hunter and Fred Cassidy,

The minutes were read and a treasurer's report was given. Balances were as follows: General Fund -$106,135.04, Water Fund -$5,267.11, Sewer Fund -$53,104.31, Money Market -$187.58, Chips -$4,362.00, General Truck - $23,295.48, Emergency Services -$23,085.10, ESCIF -$83,895.67, WECIF -$24,569.91, SECIF -$53,617.48, Street Repairs -$18,152.21, and Water Capital -$1,530.36.

Wendy made the motion to approve them. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried.

Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Peter to pay them. Seconded by Lisa. All approved and carried. The Bat-Con bill and Cassidy Welding bill for sidewalk will be held.

Wendy made the motion to have the Clerk publish the Winter Parking notice. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried.

Harold Van Dreasar's sewer unit will be dropped on his Maple Ave property.

Steve Hunter wants a wish list from us. He would also like a list of things we want to do in the next few years.

The Board discussed: storm water, housing rehabilitation, and work on our water tank.

Steve asked if anyone would be going to the dinner at the Franklin Hotel.

Steve spoke of indexing the Fire and Building Codes records.

I asked Steve if we could index more minutes going further back than what we previously did?

Jim told the Clerk that we need Gilda's report. I told him I have called many times.

Jim told the Board that the project is going well. Items discussed were:

- a revised bill

- easements are signed

- Depot Street crossing done

- boring the railroad

- the cut for Middle Road

- Lincoln Ave lint to Stephen's side of the road

- North side of Phelps Road - curb stop will be on the other side of the road. Once their long line breaks they will have to hook up to the short hook up at their costs.

- The Fleury residence can hook up to the water on the Village side.

- The Franklins can hook into the curb box on the Village side.

- A Curb box will be put on the Hubbard's property.

- All trailers need meter pits.

- The Kimball,s need a meter pit.

- the water line will be replaced from Alfred Weaver's house and down.

The Clerk was asked to get an updated broken meter list.

The Fire house parking lot dips where the sewer line cuts across.

Wendy made the resolution for the Village to be the lead agency for the grant application for New York State Small Cities Program and authorizing the Mayor to sign. Seconded by Lisa. All approved and carried.

Peter made the resolution for the Bond Anticipation note for the new fire truck. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried. (Jim will provide insert).

The sidewalk bill was discussed. It can't be billed like this because Fred is a salary employee. The work done by Phil and Mark can be billed through hourly bills.

Lisa made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 pm. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried.
