July 12th, 2004
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, Village of Remsen met on July 12th, 2004, at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall on Pine Street in the Village.
Those present were: Deputy Mayor Lisa Beagle, Trustees; Wendy Piekielniak, Stephen Allen, and Peter Billard. Also attending were; Attorney Jim Moseman, Fred Cassidy,
The minutes were read and a treasurer's report was given. Balances were as follows: General Fund -$111,500.88,Water Fund -$6,119.85, Sewer Fund -$97,710.40, Money Market -$187.12, Chips -$4,350.91, General Truck -$23,236.26, Emergency Services -$54,289.78, ESCIF -$56,715.38, WECIF -$29,000.23, SECIF -$53,481.17, and Street Repairs -$389,497.00.
Wendy made the motion to approve them. Seconded by Peter. All approved and carried.
Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Lisa to pay them. Seconded by Wendy. All approved and carried. Wendy abstained from the Kohn & Moseman bill.
The Water project bids are out and will be opened on July 20th.
Requisition #2 will be for $94,349.86.
Jack - $74,000.00 Jim - $10,692.75 Bond Counsel - $1500.00 Interest - $1501.11
Remsen Development easements were signed.
Fred discussed the following:
-Van Patten's drain is cleaned out
-We still need a container for chlorine
-We need to pick up a spare ortho-pump
-We need to patch Maple Ave by Roger Wilson's house
-We need 2 more loads of patch for Mitchell Drive
-Trees down on the sidewalk were moved by Hefners
-The Geers have a slab of concrete in the way of the sidewalk to be put in
-A guy needs to come to put a stamp of approval on the lift station
Lisa told of a drain problem up by her house where a car was down to its axle.
Peter made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:17 p.m.
