September 13th, 2004
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, Village of Remsen met on September 13th, 2004, at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall on Pine Street in the Village.
Those present were: Mayor Bob Cunningham, Trustees; Wendy Piekielniak, Stephen Allen, Lisa Beagle, and Peter Billard. Also attending were; Attorney Jim Moseman, Bob Loveric, Al Heywood, and John Secor.
The minutes were read and a treasurer's report was given. Balances were as follows: General Fund -$130,459.94,Water Fund -$7,242.78, Sewer Fund -$68,426.03, Money Market -$187.43, Chips -$4,358.24, General Truck -$23,275.39, Emergency Services -$23,074.02, ESCIF -$83,823.33, WECIF - $24,548.72, SECIF -$53,571.25, Street Repairs -$18,136.56, and Water Capital -$68,530.86.
Stephen made the motion to approve them. Seconded by Bob. All approved and carried.
Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Wendy to pay them. Seconded by Lisa. All approved and carried. Do not pay school taxes.
Al Heywood spoke of projects over at the Depot under the name of Remsen Depot Area Conceptual Land Use Plan.
We will have to apply for a $25,000.00 grant.
The clerk told of problems with the copier machine. IKON will charge $120.00 per hour to fix it.
Bob Loveric spoke of buying a surplus vehicle to take guys back and forth for training.
On October 4th, the chases will be delivered to 4 Guys in Pennsylvania.
Bob asked if we have steamers on the new hydrants?
It was decided to call the Village of Boonville to check how they back up their system.
Lisa told of a sink hole on her property. She had an easement from the school.
The clerk was asked to pull all tax bills back to 1995. All Town, County, and School.
Niagara Mohawk wants to cut trees by Horn's and Becky Porter's house.
Bob made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:12 pm. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried.
