Minutes
February 7th, 2000
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees Village of Remsen met on February 7th, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall on Pine Street.
Those present were: Mayor Bob Cunningham, Trustees; Stephen Allen, Wendy Piekielniak, Lisa Beagle and Peter Billard. Also attending were; Steve Winkley, Attorney Jim Moseman, Harold Spicer, Steve Hunter and Gerry Ritter.
The minutes were read and a treasurer's report was given balances were as follows; Water Fund $16,639.67, Sewer Fund $ 74,612.57, Emergency Services Fund $3,972.43, General Fund $38,543.57, Money Market $173.08, Chips $940.77, WECIF $26,843.82, and ESCIF $18,546.34.
Lisa made the motion to approve the minutes. Seconded by Stephen. All approved and carried.
Bills of the month were audited and a motion was made by Wendy to pay them. Seconded by Peter. All approved and carried.
Harold spoke to the Board of two main breaks on Prospect Road. He said they are watching the water tank closely. He also told of underground hook-ups.
Stephen made the resolution to have the clerk publish the Election Notice in the Oneida County Home News and the Rome Sentinel. Seconded by Lisa. All approved and carried.
Jim told the Board that we are insured so we can be bondable for work on the State Highway. Jim will start the paperwork.
Wendy made the motion to have the Clerk publish the Registration Day Notice in the Rome Sentinel and the Oneida County Home News. Seconded by Peter. All approved and carried.
Steve Winkley spoke of the brochures for the Village. We will have a meeting with the Land Owners affected by the new water site.
We will let Steve know when the meeting date is.
We received an estimate from Agway for fixing the furnace for $2,495.00. The Mayor will get another estimate.
Steve Hunter spoke of the State Revolving Fund.
Lisa made the motion to adjourn at 9:30. Seconded by Peter. All approved and carried.
